Glass...sand melted by very high heat. Some kinds of glass have very specific compounds to create special types with different characteristics. The glass we use for baking or cooking is different from the glass we have in our windshields of our cars. One withstands different temperatures, the other resists breaking in an accident. Though they may look like the same type of glass to us, when you look at their chemical make up, they are very different.
In this unit, you will learn to look at the different properties of glass and how those properties can hep identify the type of glass, and therefore link it to victims and suspects in an investigation.
