UNIT 1: CH 1: Observations
Observation is how you perceive your surroundings. Your brain filters the information you take in from your surroundings, thus affecting what you observe. Many things affect observations and most especially eyewitness accounts of crimes. An investigator knows these factors and uses that knowledge to help determine whether a witness' testimony is accurate or not.
